Colour Yarns is a new podcast platform for stories by people of colour. The stories we tell about ourselves are important; they represent our variegated identities, our unique experiences, and how we navigate everyday challenges and triumphs as People of Colour in a system of entrenched racism and white dominance.
This is a space for self-love, for resistance, for celebrating diversity and People of Colour experiences. This is a space that aims to equalize the media space that is dominated by white stories and white voices. This is a space for intersectionality, for safe and open discussions about oppression, to raise collective consciousness, a space where the discussion of race and racism is not taboo.
If you would like to share your story, or have any comments or questions, we would love to hear from you.
